The Computerized Inventory System

The University of Alberta Facility Inventory System was the benchmark for the computerized Inventory System of campus equipment in 1999. It included departments, faculties, and central administrative functions. Facility Inventory System has the responsibility to itemize all new purchases of equipment. This involves a staff member from the Equipment Inventory locating, tagging and processing information for the system. Facility Inventory System alone is able to perform the entire task through the use of the elaborate data system.

Magat, during his 2002 study of the local area, stated that any institution agency or department must have an inventory system. Magat asserted that records’ safekeeping and processing are important for the smooth, efficient, and successful operation of an institution, department, or agency.

Magat wrote that a central record office would be a good way to improve the inventory process. The office will have data from the agency, and it can also serve as the locator of documents and the control of disposal. A computerized system is the only way this can be done. Computers with the right software can handle records effectively and efficiently. It is easier to locate records in a computerized filing cabinet than it is to search through dusty files.

Researchers focused their attention on the flow of motors in and out, the stock levels, and the revenue of the company they were referring to. The researchers developed an Inventory System which ensures the availability of the appropriate number of motors. This also included the expected distribution for a specific day.

The related studies in this section have been a great help in the pursuit of this research. It was designed to develop a system which will create an efficient inventory system, allowing users to quickly recognize their sales and easily tally them.

As follows, the studies that were specifically focused on this matter will allow you to fully develop your research idea.
